Transwestern Investment Group reached out to Descano Photography after finding us through Google. They were in desperate need of some new professional headshots for a majority of their team. Of course we were happy enough to help them out as soon as possible.

Over the course of three days we worked together to get Transwestern some awesome shots. In the beginning, as I was talking to the Transwestern’s site contact, I remember her saying how the headshots their team had at the moment are just a little too “boring”. Naturally, Descano Photography was going to make sure that didn’t happen again.

For this particular photo shoot, we shot outside, down at the Museum Tower in downtown Dallas. In working with the city skyline in the background, along with all the colors surrounding it – boring wasn’t happening this time.

One challenge of shooting multiple people back to back is making sure that there is some order and consistency within the photos. Some common issues that can disrupt the consistency are the person being shot having their attention turned away from the camera, multiple conversations going on in the background, etc. Any of these things will take someone’s attention away from getting great headshots. So making sure there is order, and keeping each client who is being shot focused on the camera is a task in and of itself.

Now, for those who live in Dallas, they to can attest that the sun can be quite crazy, so making sure each shot was done in shade along with fighting the sun from ruining the background of each shot was another hurdle we to worked around. You don’t want the either the foreground nor the background to be overexposed; however, it was nothing too big to keep us from getting great shots.

After each day of shooting ended, we worked closely with Transwestern to get them their photos right away. The turnaround for Transwestern was very crucial, as they wanted to give each of their team members the ability to have their entire photo shoot as soon as possible. Of course, we did one better, as each client received their photo shoot within two hours of being shot.

There is no greater feeling than working with our clients and always going the extra yard to make sure they love their photos and leave as happy customers.
