William
William is the man! From the moment William stepped into our studio in Deep Ellum, you could just feel his positive personality. William and I are pretty much alike – I moved to Dallas from Philadelphia, and William moved to Dallas from Ireland! Kinda close right?
William reached out to us after coming in contact with our work through Google, and he needed to get his professional headshot done for work, LinkedIn, etc. Of course this is a trait many of our clients share. We were more than happy to provide that for him.
William wasn’t one to be a frequent customer for headshots, so it had been a while for him. He let me do my job and trusted in me with all the details to make his headshot come out as best as possible. I put William in front of a gradient backdrop, and from the start the photos were turning out great. Why? Because I didn’t even have to ask William one time to smile. I know that may sound insignificant but the difference between someone “smiling” and “actually truly smiling” makes a world of difference. It’s easier on the photographer, and it’s certainly to the benefit of the client. Smiling wasn’t an issue for him because he was just so relaxed and comfortable. Of course, I literally messed up a few shots just because of laughing at his jokes.
With that being said, if you are someone who needs a professional headshot and you’re paying for it, wouldn’t you want your photos to come out as great as possible? Uhh…Yes! To make that happen, YOU need to be comfortable and relaxed when you step in front of the camera. Few people, and I mean few, are overjoyed and love to have their headshot done. That’s just the way it is. So you must make it worth it, and for the short while it’s happening, just embrace it! If not, I’ll have to pull it out of you, and I will!
William was pumped when he left the studio, knowing his headshots came out great. He received his entire shoot the very same day, and had his professionally retouched photo picked out and finished within 24 hours of choosing his photo of choice. Until next time William!
