I had the privilege of meeting and working with Jessica a few days ago and it turned out great…as do they all! Jessica first reached out to our team at Descano Photography looking for a simple headshot session, which we were delighted to help with. She was in need of our service due to her employer’s request.

I had Jessica swing by the studio over in Deep Ellum to knock it out. Getting one’s picture taken over and over again wasn’t something Jessica was “overjoyed” with. This is common. One reason being was that “headshots” weren’t something she was very familiar with. The second reason was just as obvious: nobody loves getting pictures taken – especially when requested by an employer! With that being said, Jessica was a trooper the entire time and she did such an awesome job. She was positioned in front of a clean looking gray to white linear gradient backdrop. The shooting part was a piece of cake, and that’s only due to Jessica, and not myself. You could tell she was working hard to overcome the “awkward/uncomfortable” feelings AND producing a smile that was visible the entire shoot (personal note: Love smiles!) This always makes my job even easier.

Jessica left the studio with over 90 photos to be used as she pleases. So how does Jessica receive that many quality headshots when she only needed a basic session? Easy – by providing Jessica, and all our clients, with a full assortment of angles, frame distance, etc. (On a side note: Jessica was on her way home within 30 minutes after first walking in). The following day Jessica then received her professionally re-touched headshot, a courtesy we love doing for our clients.

Lastly, as I was getting Jessica a receipt, we started conversing about “Descano Photography” itself and Jessica happened to say something that has stayed with me still, even while writing this. I first asked her how she found us, which she responded by telling me: While searching on Google for “corporate headshots dallas”, Descano Photography showed up on the first Google search page. Continuing on, Jessica explained reviewing multiple websites and how happy she was to find such high quality work for a great price, when all other websites wanted to charge at least DOUBLE for the SAME SERVICES!
